Like Valleyvag (Good Linking Etiquettes), the good folks at TechCrunch have also decided to completely discontinue the "self-linking" habit.
Now if you click a link on TechCrunch that's titled "Google", you'll now be taken to www.google.com and not to some internal page on TechCrunch.
Maybe all these discussions on "internal linking" in the blogging community are getting noticed.
Pete at Mashable had admitted that they do practice self-linking for the purpose of pageviews and because their competitors are doing it. With TechCrunch and Valleywag taking the lead, expect a sea of change. Good times.
