New YouTube Player To Stream Better Quality Videos

Free & secure application & desktop delivery to any operating system.
youtube high quality videoThe one big reason why I prefer Blip.tv over YouTube is that the former preserves the quality of the original video. On the other hand, YouTube automatically resizes the video clips (to 320x240) and also reduces the quality during the encoding process.
But here's some interesting news for content producers as well as YouTube viewers - when a video is upload onto YouTube servers, it is encoded into low-res Flash video but at the same time, YouTube also stores the original video clip in its native resolution.
YouTube is now testing a new video player that detects your internet connection speed and stream higher quality video if your prefer so. According to Webware, high-quality YouTube video clips will be available to everyone within three months.
Considering that all popular TV show episodes, movie trailers and music videos are already present on YouTube, this move from Google could bring delight to millions who have replaced their TV sets with the YouTube player.

Rent a Copy of Microsoft Office in India

Replicate Notes apps & data to your mobile device. Anytime, anywhere.
microsoft office studentIf you cannot afford to buy a full copy of Office 2007 Professional or just want to use the software for a limited period, it's better to rent it from Microsoft.
Microsoft today launched Office 2007 Prepaid edition in India where you have pay only for the time you actually use Office. This Prepaid version comes to India after making a successful debut in South Africa.
The monthly rent of Office 2007 Prepaid edition in India is around INR 250 or ~$6. You will have to pay minimum rent for six months and can then renew your Office 2007 subscription for another three months.
To use 2007 Microsoft Office Prepaid Edition, you'll need an Internet connection (for activation online) and a 25-character Office product key which is printed in the Office Prepaid Starter Kit.
If your subscription does expire, your copy of Office 2007 Professional will go into reduced functionality mode - you can read and print Office documents but cannot create or edit files unless you renew the Prepaid subscription.
Alternatively, you can download Office 2007 Trial which works just like the retail edition for 60 days. Thanks Mary.

The Spy Camera in Orkut – Who Viewed My Profile

Create Free Travel Slideshow From Your Photos. Share It On Your Blog!
Orkut has a little spying feature called "profile visits" that automatically shows a list of people who have recently viewed your profile page on Orkut. The person may or may not be your Orkut friend.
What's interesting about the Orkut spy camera is that it can only work both ways - so if you are interested in knowing about people who are checking your Orkut profile, you must also show them your visits to their profiles.

You can enable / disable Orkut profile visits through the Privacy option under Settings.
LinkedIn too provides a "Who Viewed My Profile" feature but there you get the option to know about people who viewed your profile without disclosing your visits.

Your Earnings from Google AdSense Are About To Dip

Simple & Powerful tools built on top of Office 365 / SharePoint 2010
google adsense clicksWhat you see on the right is a 300x250 rectangular Google AdSense Ad unit. Ideally an ad unit this size should show 3-4 different ads but maybe there isn'tenough inventory and therefore, all you see is 1 ad somewhere near the middle of the rectangle.
When a website visitor hovers the mouse over this Google Ad block, the cursor changes from a pointer to an hand and he can click anywhere inside the rectangle to visit the advertiser's website.
However, this will soon change as Google has redefined the definition of a click.
Now a visitor will have to click either the Title or the URL of the Google Ad for the publisher (you) to make money.
Going back to the screenshot, only clicks made in the Red Area will be treated as valid while the Yellow Areas will not be clickable. In the current AdSense Ad formats, the entire block (both red and yellow) is clickable.
A site visitor who is genuinely interested in the advertiser's site will have to position his mouse cursor exactly over the red area in order to visit the external website. This could reduce the overall clickthrough rate and you may see less earnings but it's definitely a good thing in the long run both for publishers and advertisers.
Google says that similar functionality exists for ads appearing on the Google.com main website but there's a small difference - only the title is click on Google homepage but for AdSense ads on the publisher's website, both title and advertiser's website URL will be clickable.
From AdSenseAdvisor - "To clarify some questions that have come up, this means that only clicks on the title or URL of a text ad will take users away from your page, register as clicks in your account, and result in advertiser charges. Clicking an ad's whitespace will no longer do anything. We'll have more details about this change in an AdSense blog post coming soon."
